1810 Ludwig van Beethoven composes his famous piano piece "Für Elise"

Für Elise was one of the best-loved Bagatelle of all. A bagatelle means "a trifle", and though such pieces are predominantly light, in Beethoven's hands, they become finely "wrought and highly characterful works." Für Elise was written as single work.
